The background to all this is that I attempted to upgrade the softmod with Rocky5's latest version, and it didn't seem to work. There are no reallocated sectors, nor pending via SMART so I'm struggling to believe it's the drive (tried both Cable select and Master settings). Was able to use Beta3 with the linux xboxhdm to recreate the drive. I tried another one and got a lot further. OK, so it turns out that Vantec dock simply doesn't work. *HDD is found in the database to be compatible, and lock status showed active/high (Seagate 1.5TB ST1500DL001) I imagine I'll need help beyond this, but I can't seem to even get started. Toggling safe mode (beta4) will show my internal drives after multiple attempts, but does not include the USB.
